If you love Masaaki Yuasa (Cat Soup, Kaiba, Mind Game, Tatami Galaxy), or animation in general you have to see his short, Happy Machine, featured in the Studio 4c collection Genius Party. It’s moving, beautiful, and somewhat traumatic.
this is a really neat animation.
I fucking love Masaaki Yuasa
He is probably becoming one of my idols now
I mean I don’t know the meaning you guys took from this whole thing but I got a very particular message that was sweet and tragic and this whole thing was amazing to me. And all without dialogue.
Gosh..
Some years ago I saw this on a big screen at an anime festival. It was somewhat of a religious experience.
so good
this is amazing.
I’m reblogging this for later.
But I like what I’ve seen so far.
THOSE ORGANIC FORMS. I love this guy’s stuff so much. He is a big influence to me and I wish I could pull of a style so lifelike and solid. I end up drawing things like arch legs and it makes me want to go back and draw those legs again using shapes, not lines.
